NEW, PLUG-N-GO ZERO DISCHARGE RINSE WATER RECYCLING SYSTEM FOR THE METAL FINISHING INDUSTRY

Blue Spring Corporation of Port Lavaca, Texas, U.S.A. announced that it is now supplying its patented PrecipRO(TM)zero discharge rinse water recycling systems in factory-assembled skids up to 25 gpm flow rates, for instant, hassle-free installation and for easy operation.

The latest PrecipRO(TM) Plug-n-Go unit combines waste water treatment, closed-loop water recycling, waste volume reduction and water purification functions in a single package. The basic PrecipRO(tm) system isolates heavy metals in the form of F006 cake, purifies and recycles the recovered water, and also concentrates the soluble impurities in the form of heavy brine, for off-site disposal. 

For the ultimate zero discharge system, the company also announced newly designed two-stage evaporation system for further concetration of the brine into a semi-solid mass.

The PrecipRO(TM) system uses chemical precipitation, reverse osmosis and evaporation processes in a patented combination that results in high water recoveries in the range of 85%-99.5% and heavy metal recoveries close to 100%. The quality of the recycled water is generally better than the incoming city water.

According to the company, the newly designed rinse water management system offers an economic incentive to the electroplaters for recycling water due to net cost savings, regardless of the regulatory pressures.
