J Can use three sources of power:  Dual solar-electric panels as the main power source; solar-power charged rechargeable battery as the secondary power source; household electricity using a battery charger.  Can run on either solar power, battery power, or both.

J Produces E.P.A. quality drinking water from multiple sources of water; such as rivers, ponds, or wells.  Extracts pure water from contaminated water, leaving all kinds of contaminants behind, regardless of their chemical nature.  Removes salt, mercury, lead, arsenic, chromium, bacteria, viruses, dissolved industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, sewage components, etc. with extraordinary efficiency.

J Produces up to 60 gallons (225 liters) per day of purified drinking water, using 8 hours of tropical solar power and up to 190 gallons (720 liters) per day, using household electricity or electric generator.  Can sustain life for up to 60 people on solar power.

The heart of the BLUE SPRING SYSTEM WP-60S solar-powered water purifier unit is a high pressure

pump and a reverse osmosis membrane module. The unit incorporates several advanced engineering features pioneered by BLUE SPRING CORPORATION. For example, it uses the latest energy-saving thin-film-composite (TFC) reverse osmosis membrane which is highly resistant to water-borne micro-organisms, and which show extraordinary purification efficiency for all kinds of contaminants. The high pressure pump used in BLUE SPRING solar-powered water purifiers is of a high-efficiency design and is coupled to a direct current motor for obtaining the highest energy transfer, between the solar panels and the reverse osmosis pump. Another advantage of this unique BLUE SPRING direct-coupled design over conventional AC coupled inverter design, is the ability of SYSTEM WP-60S water purifiers to operate at extremely low solar intensity levels, such as during cloudy days, or during late afternoon hours.

The output from a solar powered unit will generally be limited to the hours of Sunshine. However, optional rechargeable battery-pack can store excess electricity produced during peak hours of Sunshine, allowing operation for a few hours even during nighttime for that extra, emergency drinking water supply.

Kindly note that the EC-60S unit can not purify seawater or high-salinity brackish water.  For these applications, use Blue Spring Model SW-80S  solar powered portable seawater desalinator.

BLUE SPRING SYSTEM WP-60S solar-powered water purifier is designed for durability and trouble-free operation. It includes a fine-grade pre-filter of disposable cartridge design. This assures efficient removal of water-borne debris, soil and other particles, thereby extending the operating life of the purification module. 

The unit includes an operating pressure control valve and a pressure gauge to suit feed water quality. Dual flow meters monitor the flow rates of purified water output and the waste water. For emergency water supply operations, 5 gallon foldable water containers and 300 gallon "pillow-style" collapsible water storage tanks are available.  Optional, household electricity adapter is also available.
