BLUE SPRING SW-D SERIES represent a new breed of reverse osmosis sea water desalinators that use a direct-coupled Diesel engine. They are ideal for use in locations which are not served by electric power. Direct-coupling between Diesel engine and the desalinator pump eliminates the need for an electric generator and an electric motor, thereby reducing fuel consumption and maintenance. The units are compact and they are factory-assembled and tested, which minimizes field construction and field assembly errors. Four units in the SW-D series are available with fresh water capacities ranging from 20 -220 m3/day. They handle sea water salinity from 25,000 mg/L to 45,000 mg/L.
