Blue Spring ConcROTM Series zero discharge dual-loop rinse water recycling system offers the ultimate pollution control solution to electroplating and metal finishing and PCB fabrication industries. This reverse osmosis rinse water recycling system recycles both water and valuable plating salts in a simple, one step, continuous process, thereby eliminating wastewater discharge altogether. No more hauling of sludge. Savings are effected not only from wastewater discharge related costs but also due to reduced consumption of plating chemicals. Blue Spring's exclusive high-recovery RO design eliminates the need for evaporator to prevent plating tank overflow, which is commonly used in other zero-discharge systems. Evaporators for plating solutions are undesirable because they consume a lot of energy and they create a severe air pollution problem, requiring air-quality permit.

Kiss your Environmental Protection Agency inspector good-bye. Seal off drain so there will be no suspicion about covert discharge
Kiss your waste hauler good-bye. No sludge or cake to haul away
No storage tanks, additional pumps, DI resin tanks required
No evaporator required, thanks to Blue Spring's high-recovery RO design
No elaborate counter-current rinse schemes required to reduce water usage. Use plenty of water, use small spray rinses and recycle all the water
Energy cost usually less than lighting and ventilation in the shop
Can be placed right next to rinse tank. No wastewater treatment room required
Good for single plating or finishing line
Good for high-dragout situations, like barrel plating
Good for recycling expensive plating salts, like precious metal plating
Watch for water balance. Plating tank has tendency to gain water; rinse tank looses water. If plating tank overflows, use small heater to promote slow evaporation of water from tank
Watch for buildup of calcium, magnesium, TDS in plating tank. Use EC-Series RO unit for de-ionizing makeup water for rinse tank.
Watch for buildup of decomposed organics, complexed cyanides, etc. in recycled plating solution. Use AC-Series activated carbon filter to remove them
Monitor concentration of plating salts in the plating tank
Not good for multiple plating lines. Use PrecipROTM system.
Do not combine cleaning wastewater in the recycling loop. Can use another ConcROTM unit
